MILWAUKEE - The IUPUI basketball team will take on Marquette (5-4) in front of a national television audience on Saturday (Dec. 14) as the game will air on FOX Sports 1 at 2:00 p.m. Central (3 p.m. Eastern). Cory Provus (pxp) and Kevin O'Neill (analyst) will be on the call.

The game can be heard in Central Indiana on WNDE 1260 AM and worldwide via the free iHeartRadio app as Will Flemming (pxp) will be on the call.

On the floor, IUPUI (4-7) has been on a roll since the start of December, ripping off three straight wins, including two victories over Top 60 RPI foes. The third win came on Tuesday (Dec. 10) as the Jaguars rolled past Cincinnati Christian, 94-72 inside the Jungle.

The Summit League's leading scorer, junior Ian Chiles, and sophomore Marcellus Barksdale have been the offensive catalysts during the hot streak. Chiles leads The Summit at 18.3 points per game and has scored 20 or more in three of IUPUI's last five games, including 22 (10-18 FG) on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, Barksdale is coming off back-to-back new career-highs, most recently pouring in 18 points against CCU earlier this week.

Barksdale leads the team in rebounding (7.5 rpg), assists (3.3 apg), steals (14), blocked shots (18) and free throws made (32), while having upped his scoring average to nearly seven points a night. The 6-foot-5 Barksdale had just two career double-digit scoring games in his career coming into the season, but has hit for 35 points in the Jaguars' last two games.

Defense has been the team's calling card during the current three-game winning streak as the Jaguars have limited opponents to just 38.4 percent overall and 21.7 percent from three-point range. Conversely, IUPUI has knocked down 48.6 percent from deep at the offensive end, led by #P.J. Hubert# (5-of-7) and Chiles (5-of-11).

Marquette (5-4) has dropped two straight coming into Saturday's game, but is 3-1 at the Bradley Center this season. The Golden Eagles only home loss came to Ohio State on Nov. 16 and have not played on their home court since Nov. 21. Senior forward Davante Gardner leads MU in scoring (14.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.6 rpg) off the bench, while Jamil Wilson checks in at 11.8 points and 5.1 rebounds a game.

Marquette has dominated foes on the glass, but struggled to shoot from the perimeter this season. As a team, the Golden Eagles are winning the glass by almost seven boards a game, but are connecting on just 27.8 percent from three through nine games. Jake Thomas (15-of-42) and Wilson (10-of-31) are MU's top marksmen.

Saturday's game will be the second-ever meeting between IUPUI and Marquette. The Golden Eagles won the first meeting, 76-68 on Nov. 10, 2007 in Milwaukee. Current Indiana Pacer George Hill led four Jaguars in double-digits with 19 points, four assists and four steals before fouling out and Gary Patterson chipped in 15 points. Jerel McNeal led Marquette with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting and Indiana-native Dominic James added 12 points.

IUPUI also played at the Bradley Center to start the 2005-06 season, playing Winthrop and Rice as part of the four-team Marquette Pepsi Blue & Gold Classic. The Jaguars dropped the opener to Winthrop before rebounding to defeat Rice the following day.
