KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Riding back-to-back home wins, the IUPUI men's soccer team will hit the road on Tuesday (Sept. 25) to take on Western Michigan (7-2) at 5:00 p.m. at the WMU Soccer Complex. The Jaguars won a non-league game against Valparaiso last Wednesday before opening Summit League play with a 2-1 victory over Eastern Illinois on Saturday.

Kyle Hyland was chosen Offensive Player of the Week and rookie goalie
Eduardo Cortes earned his third Defensive Player of the Week award of the year.
Hyland upped his Summit League leading goal total to eight last week, scoring in the 10th minute against Valpo before tallying twice in the win over EIU. Hyland converted a penalty kick for the game's first goal before scoring off a
Clint Hoffar long throw-in early in the second half.
Defensively, Cortes comes in averaging 6.0 saves per game and lowered his goals against average to 1.47 last week. Cortes has helped anchor a young defensive backfield as rookies Hoffar,
Marek Moffett and
Michael Sass were among the seven freshman starters on Saturday.
WMU has outscored opponents 18-6 so far this season and is 3-0 at home this year. The Broncos have claimed wins over Bradley, DePaul, Valpo and Wright State this year and been ranked among the region's top 10 for much of the season. Marco Lobo (4 goals, 2 assists) and Ryan LeMasters (2 goals, 5 assists) have paced the WMU attack and 11 different Broncos have at least one goal in 2012. Defensively, Sean Lewis has a 0.69 GAA in net and has made 27 saves in nine starts.
IUPUI is 3-4 all-time against Western Michigan and 3-3 since joining the Division I ranks in 1998. The Jaguars have won three straight over the Broncos, dating back to the 2007 season. Last year, the Jags won 1-0 at Kuntz Stadium on Oct. 12, 2011 behind a
