INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams return to action this weekend following a three-week break from competition when they host Valparaiso and Evansville on Friday, Nov. 9, and Saturday, Nov. 10, respectively.

Friday’s meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. ET, while Saturday’s meet will begin at 2 p.m. ET

Three weeks ago, IUPUI has a busy weekend hosting Eastern Illinois and Butler on Friday, Oct. 19, before traveling to West Lafayette, Ind., to compete in the Indiana Intercollegiates.

The busy weekend led to some slower times at the Indiana Intercollegiates, but head coach Matt Bos felt it was a good test for his teams.

“After three weeks off, it will be good to get back in to a meet situation and race again,” Bos said. “On Saturday, we will face a really good Evansville team and it will be our second meet in as many days.  Hopefully we’re more prepared this time around then we were three weeks ago and we’re looking forward to some good performances.”

With a month of the season already passed, Elizabeth Bourgeois and Alexus Laird rank in the top two in the Summit League in four events.

On the men’s side, seven swimmers rank in the Top-5 in the Summit League in six events.
