KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After a complete dismantling of IU East earlier this week, the IUPUI basketball team will get an early dose of Summit League road living when the Jaguars head to Kansas City (2-3, 0-0 Summit) for a regionally televised contest on Thursday (Nov. 29) night. The Jaguars will tip-off against the Kangaroos at 8:05 p.m. inside Swinney Rec Center in a contest that will be televised on KSMO-TV. In Indianapolis, the game can be heard on WNDE 1260 AM as Will Flemming (pxp) is on the call from courtside. Fans can also hear the action on WNDE.com and through the free iHeartRadio app available on smartphones.
IUPUI will cap the two-game Summit League swing when the Jaguars take on the University of South Dakota (3-3, 0-0 Summit) on Saturday (Dec. 1) night at 8:00 p.m..
IUPUI (3-4, 0-0 Summit) used a 19-0 first half blitz to gun down IUE, 87-54 on Monday night. Junior #P.J. Hubert

Defensively, the Jaguars held IUE to just 31.1 percent shooting and 2-of-17 (11.8 percent) from three-point range. The Jaguars also won the glass 51-41, improving to 3-0 this season and 13-4 all-time under Howard when outrebounding the opposition.
IUPUI enters this week at 19-14 all-time against Kansas City with the two schools splitting last year's home-and-home series. The Jaguars lost 64-62 in Kansas City on Jan. 21, 2012 despite a 26-point effort from
Alex Young. IUPUI won the first game of last year's series, 83-74 in overtime in Indianapolis.
Kansas City is 2-3 to start the year and 1-0 at home with an earlier win over Lincoln (Mo.), 99-64 on Nov. 13. The 'Roos other win was over Albany, 63-57 on Nov. 18. Estan Tyler and Kirk Korver lead UMKC in scoring at 10.8 points per game and Fred Chatmon, a 6-foot-9 junior, is the team's top rebounder at 6.0 per game. Tyler, a 6-foot-1 sophomore guard, also leads the 'Roos in assists at 4.2 per game and is shooting 50 percent from three-point range.
IUPUI is 1-1 all-time against South Dakota (3-3, 0-0 Summit) after splitting last year's season series. USD won at the Dakota Dome before the Jaguars returned the favor in Indianapolis.
This year's Coyotes have won two straight heading into this week with victories over Culver-Stockton (81-73) and Waldorf (84-59). Senior guard Juevol Myles leads the Yotes in scoring (13.2 ppg), assists (4.2 apg) and steals (12). The Kansas State-transfer is shooting 40 percent from three-point range and 86.4 percent at the foul line. The balanced USD attack features four players averaging double-digits including Tyler Flack (10.8 ppg), Karim Rowson (10.7 ppg) and Trevor Gruis (10.5 ppg). Gruis, a 6-foot-10 center, also leads the squad in rebounding (6.7 rpg) and is shooting 50 percent from the floor.
