LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The IUPUI men's soccer team's daunting early season schedule will get no easier when the Jaguars face a pair of BIG EAST foes in the Univ. of Cincinnati/Univ. of Louisville Tournament over the weekend. On Friday, Head Coach Isang Jacob's team will play at No. 7 Louisville before heading east to play the University of Cincinnati on Sunday. Friday's match will kickoff at 5:00 p.m. while Sunday's game will start at 4:00 p.m..

Already this season, the Jaguars earned a 2-2 tie with No. 21 Kentucky and dropped a 1-0 count to Wright State, which received votes in the national polls this week.

IUPUI (1-2-1) is coming off its best offensive output of the year in the 2-2 draw at Kentucky. Seniors Perez Agaba and Matt Guy hooked up on a first half goal and the former scored on a second half goal to give the Jaguars a lead that stood until the 85th minute. Agaba was later picked Summit League Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.

Defensively, senior goalkeeper Tyler Keever has a 1.25 goals against average and 15 saves in four matches.

Louisville (2-1) was the nation's top ranked team last week before losing 2-1 to No. 2 North Carolina in Chapel Hill. The Cardinals are led by Hermann Trophy candidate Colin Rolfe, who's scored two of the Cards' five goals on the young season. IUPUI comes in 2-5 all-time against Louisville, including having lost three-in-a-row to the Cards. The Jags are 0-3 all-time on the road against UofL.

Cincinnati (1-2) has also had a rough early season slate, losing to both Virginia and Virginia Tech after opening the year with a 3-1 win over Western Michigan. Junior midfielder Shamar Shelton leads the Bearcats with three points in three games and junior Joey Barnard has a 1.36 GAA, having played every minute in goal. IUPUI is 1-0 all-time against the Bearcats, having won on the road during the 2004 season.
