KENT, Ohio - The IUPUI women's soccer team will wind down the non-conference portion of its 2011 schedule when it heads to Ohio to take on both Kent State (Sept. 16) and Cleveland State (Sept. 18). Friday's kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m. while Sunday's game will begin at noon.
Kent State (5-2) is riding a two-game winning streak after wins over Youngstown State and Duquesne last week. Sophomore Jessacca Gironda leads the Flashes with four goals and four assists through seven games and freshman Stephanie Haugh was recently picked as Mid-American Conference Player of the Week after scoring back-to-back game-winners. IUPUI is 1-1 all-time against Kent State including having won at Kuntz Stadium 2-1 last season.Â
Cleveland State (5-2)Â comes into the weekend having won three-in-a-row, including wins over Air Force and Wyoming last week. Senior midfielder Natalie Daniels has a goal and has assisted on six of the team's 14 goals so far this season and sophomore Taylor Vidovic leads the squad with three goals. The Vikings have used four different goalkeepers this season, all of whom have fared well. Becky Williams has played the bulk of the minutes, posting a 0.48 GAA and .909 save percentage in four starts. IUPUI is 3-1-1 all-time against the Vikings.Â
IUPUI (1-3-2) comes in having played its past two opponents even at Kuntz Stadium. Both

Megan Hock lead the Jaguars with two goals each and sophomore
Kristin Pierce has a team-high two assists from her defensive spot. In goal, sophomore
Kristin Haseley has been strong of late, lowering her GAA to 1.37 on the year.Â
The Jaguars come into the weekend having lost 10 of 11 road matches, including both trips earlier this season. Â
