VALPARAISO, Ind. - The IUPUI men's soccer team hits the road on Friday attempting to get back on the winning side of the ledger when it takes on former Mid-Con foe Valparaiso at Brown Field on Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Eastern.

IUPUI's tough early season schedule has resulted in a 1-4-1 mark with the lone win coming over Liberty in the season opener. Since losing to the Jaguars, Liberty has reeled off three straight wins including a 2-0 win at No. 12 Virginia earlier this week.

Since then, IUPUI's lone result was a 1-1 draw at No. 21 Kentucky as part of the UK Tournament on Sept. 4. Of the Jaguars' first six opponents, three were ranked or received votes in the national polls last week.

Offensively, junior Kyle Hyland and senior Perez Agaba lead the way with a goal each and rookie Sam Fuller has the squad's lone game-winner of the season. In goal, senior Tyler Keever has played every minute and registered a 1.83 goals against average and 21 saves in six games.

Valpo (2-2-1) is led by Todd Vervynckt, who comes in with two goals and an assist and Jaymie Bullard has tallied twice. Nine different goal scorers have contributed to Valpo's 11 total this season. In goal, Kyle Zobeck has yielded just four goals in five games for a 0.77 GAA. IUPUI is 6-10-1 all-time against Valpo, including losing 1-0 in overtime last season.
