LEXINGTON, Ky. - The IUPUI men's soccer team will face a tall order this weekend when it takes on both Evansville and host Kentucky at the UK Tournament at the UK Soccer Complex. The Jaguars will kickoff against the Purple Aces at 5:00 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 2), before taking on the Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 4).

Friday's match marks the regular season opener for Evansville, while IUPUI already has two games in the books. The Missouri Valley Conference foe went 1-1 in the preseason, bettering Illinois-Springfield 4-0 and dropping a 2-1 count to Saint Louis. Evansville beat the Jags 1-0 during the 2009 season and own a 2-0 all-time record against IUPUI.

On Sunday, IUPUI will take on No. 21 Kentucky (2-0), which is coming off a banner week with wins over Dayton and No. 9 West Virginia. UK sophomore forward Tyler Riggs was pegged to the National Team of the Week after tallying three goals in the two wins off the bench last week and starting goalkeeper Tyler Beadle posted a 0.50 GAA in 180 minutes.

IUPUI dropped a 1-0 decision to Wright State on Monday after opening the year with a 1-0 win over Liberty on Saturday. Freshman Sam Fuller has the Jags' lone goal on the year, courtesy of assists from defenders Kyle Hyland and Yogi Snider. Senior Tyler Keever has a 0.50 GAA in two games with eight total saves. The Jaguars are 0-4 all-time against Kentucky, having been outscored 9-2 in the series.
