The Jaguars (2-5, 0-0 Summit) are looking forward to getting back inside the Jungle where they are 2-1 on the young season. The road has been unkind thus far where IUPUI is 0-4 to start the year. Head coach Todd Howard's squad is coming off an 81-58 loss at Georgetown on Monday night in a game that was a one-point contest at the half. IUPUI led for most of the first 14 minutes of the night until the Hoyas scored five straight and clung to a 32-31 halftime advantage. However, the hosts opened the second half with a 10-0 run and pulled away from there in improving to 5-1 on the season.

Senior Alex Young scored 16 points and grabbed a team-high eight boards while sophomore big man Mitchell Patton tallied a season-high 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting off the bench. Young scored IUPUI's first 10 points of the night and hit his first three shots before going 1-for-12 from the floor the rest of the way. Patton helped pick up the slack in the second half while freshman Lyonell Gaines tallied eight points and six boards from his forward spot.

Hollis Thompson led three Hoyas in double-digits with 21 points and 10 boards and Henry Sims added 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Markel Starks added 13 and sophomore forward Nate Lubick had eight points, five assists and a career-high 14 boards. Georgetown shot 57 percent after halftime and finished the game hitting 49 percent from the floor. IUPUI shot just 35 percent overall and 3-of-18 (16.7 percent) from three.

For the year, Young leads IUPUI in scoring (17.1 ppg), rebounding (6.6 rpg), blocked shots (6) and minutes played (210). Behind him, senior point guard Stephen Thomas is scoring 9.2 points per game and averaging 4.8 assists per night while playing more than 34 minutes per game. As a team, IUPUI has been strong defensively, yielding just 68 points per game and limiting opponents to just 44 percent shooting and 24.8 percent from three. The Jaguars are also forcing more than 12 turnovers per contest while turning it over 11 times per game.

SDSU (4-3, 0-0 Summit) is led by junior point guard Nate Wolters, who comes in averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game, while also leading the squad in steals (12). Alongside him, senior Griffan Callahan comes in scoring 12.4 points per game and has hit 18 threes in the season's first seven games and leads the team in rebounding at 5.9 per. The Jackrabbits have four others averaging between six and eight points per game including freshman reserve Taevaunn Prince at 7.9 a night.
