INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI basketball team will return home as part of the Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Classic on Sunday (Nov. 20) night when the Jaguars take on Eastern Michigan (2-1) inside The Jungle at 4:00 p.m.. Fans can earn a free ticket to Sunday's game by donating a canned good.

Sunday's game can be heard on WNDE 1260, WNDE.com and via the iHeartRadio app as Scott McCauley (play-by-play) and former Jag Angelo Smith (analyst) call the action from courtside. In addition, the game can be viewed as part of the IUPUI LIVE! subscription service.

IUPUI (1-2) is coming off a tough 62-49 loss at Milwaukee on Friday night as the Jaguars were held to just 30 percent shooting in the defeat. Summit League Preseason Player of the Year Alex Young was held to his lowest scoring output since his freshman year, as he tallied just five points in 15 foul plagued minutes. Freshman Marcellus Barksdale helped pick up the slack with a team-high 12 points off the bench, all coming in the second half.

IUPUI trailed by eight at halftime, but immediately wiped out the deficit with an 8-0 run to start the second half. The Jaguars briefly went in front when Greg Rice collected a steal near midcourt and fed Stephen Thomas for a fast break layup, but Milwaukee (3-0) scored the next six points and led the rest of the game. Young played just three second half minutes after picking up four personal fouls in the first half. Senior Christian Siakam finished with nine points and four boards and Thomas scored eight points. Freshman Lyonell Gaines finished with five offensive rebounds and seven points, all of which came before halftime.

Eastern Michigan (2-1) is coming off an impressive 62-51 home win over Arkansas-Little Rock on Friday night. Darrell Lampley led the Eagles with 21 points and Jamell Harris added six points and 10 boards in 21 minutes. Lampley leads EMU in scoring at 16 points per game and has also delivered a team-high 10 assists through three games. The Eagles are 2-0 at home including a win over UIC, and 0-1 on the road this year.

IUPUI is 0-2 all-time against EMU with both losses coming in the beginning of the Jaguars' Division I era.

Fans are asked to donate a non-perishable food item at the door and will receive a ticket for free admission. In addition, free t-shirts and tote bags will be distributed during the weekend games while supplies last. The donations will ultimately benefit Gleaners Food Bank as part of the annual Jam the Jaguars Pantry Food Drive and Summit League Food Fight. Kids 12-and-under are admitted for $7 and children 4-and-under are free.
