FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Playing a Summit League undefeated team for the second time in three days, the IUPUI basketball team looks to get back to the winning side of the ledger when it takes on IPFW (10-4, 5-0 Summit) at Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Eastern. Pregame coverage with Scott McCauley (play-by-play) and Austin Parkinson (analyst) will begin at around 1:55 on 88.3 FM / The Walk.

IUPUI (8-9, 2-2 Summit) had its three-game winning streak snapped at Oakland on Thursday night as the Jaguars yielded 15 treys in an 85-71 loss. OU junior Reggie Hamilton hit 7-of-8 from three in the win and scored a career-high 28 points in the win. Senior Leroy Nobles and junior Alex Young scored 18 each in the loss and Stephen Thomas added 14.

Oakland built a 21-point first half lead, however IUPUI chipped away in the second half, but got no closer than nine. The Jaguars hit four threes in a 90 second spurt to close within 69-59 midway through the half, but Oakland had an immediate answer with five straight points. Later, IUPUI crept within nine, but Oakland came back with eight straight points including consecutive threes by Hamilton and senior center Keith Benson.

IUPUI enters Saturday's game with an 18-10 lead in the all-time series with IPFW and has gone 6-2 against the 'Dons since joining the Division I ranks in 1998. IUPUI hasn't lost in Fort Wayne since a Jan. 7, 2003 overtime loss to IPFW. The 'Dons won the last meeting between the two schools, 62-60 at Conseco Fieldhouse on Jan. 31, 2010 as Zach Plackemeier hit a contested 17-footer with 0.3 seconds left. IPFW built a 21-point first half lead but allowed IUPUI to close within seven points by halftime.

The game was nip-and-tuck for much of the second half before Plackemeier's buzzer beater.

Jon Avery led IUPUI with 16 points and Robert Glenn added 15 points and 14 boards before fouling out. Trey McCorkle led IPFW with 14 points.
