SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The IUPUI basketball team will take on No. 3 seed Oral Roberts in the semifinals round of The Summit League Tournament on Monday night inside the Sioux Falls Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. EST and pregame coverage with Scott McCauley (play-by-play) will start at approximately 9:20. The game can also be seen on ESPN Full Court, ESPN 360 and Midcontinent Communications as Dan McLaughlin (play-by-play) and Dave Kaplan (analyst) describe the action.Â
IUPUI (23-9) reached the semifinals with a 77-68 win over No. 7 Western Illinois on Saturday evening, fueled by senior
Robert Glenn's 30-point effort. The Jaguars needed a late 16-4 run to get separation, thanks to a pair of
John Ashworth triples and a clinching three from
Leroy Nobles in front of the celebrating IUPUI bench. Ashworth and Nobles combined to score 32 points and hit five threes in the victory.Â
Glenn went 13-of-21 from the floor as the Jags finished the game hitting 57 percent overall and 50 percent from beyond the arc. The victory was IUPUI's fifth-in-a-row - one shy of the team's season-best.
The Jaguars have now advanced to the semifinals round in nine of its 10 tournament trips.Â
ORU advanced with a 65-64 overtime victory over North Dakota State on Sunday night, led by Dominique Morrison's 16 points.
IUPUI and ORU split the regular season series with both teams holding serve on their home floors. In Indianapolis, IUPUI needed overtime to knock off the Golden Eagles in Conseco Fieldhouse while the Golden Eagles needed a late bucket from freshman Warren Niles to get the victory in Tulsa.Â
ORU has eliminated the Jaguars from the league tournament three times since 2005 including in the 2008 title game.
