FARGO, N.D. - Coming off back-to-back impressive home Summit League wins, the IUPUI basketball team will cap the regular season with a two-game road trip that begins at North Dakota State on Thursday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST with Scott McCauley's pregame coverage starting at approximately 7:50 on IUPUIJags.com.
IUPUI (20-9, 13-3 Summit) has already clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Summit League Tournament and sealed the ninth 20-win season in the program's near 40 year history. The Jags remain among the most efficient offensive teams in the country, ranking fourth in field goal percentage (.507) and tenth in three-point percentage (.400).
Senior
Robert Glenn earned his sixth Summit League Player of the Week award on Monday and leads the league in scoring (19.8 ppg) and ranks second in field goal percentage (.595). He enters Thursday's game nine points shy of 1,000 in his IUPUI career and will become the 19th in school history to eclipse that total.
Fellow senior
Jon Avery is hot on his heels in career points, having totaled 961 in his four-year career.
Sophomore
Alex Young has nearly matched Glenn's productivity of late, scoring 20 points or better in four of the Jags' past five games. The lefty swingman is second in The Summit at 18.3 points per game while he and Glenn make up the seventh-highest scoring duo in the country entering this week.
North Dakota State (10-16, 7-9) is led by junior swingman Michael Tveidt (15. ppg, 5.5 rpg) and sophomore post Eric Carlson (15.3 ppg, 7.2 rpg).
IUPUI leads the all-time series between the two schools 3-2, including an 86-74 win over the Bison in The Jungle on Dec. 5, 2009.
