On the court, IUPUI (4-4, 1-0 Summit) is seeking a three-game home sweep after wins over IU East and Centenary earlier this week. On Thursday night, senior
Leroy Nobles scored 20 points including the 1,000th of his career and junior
Alex Young tallied a game-high 22 as the Jaguars outlasted Centenary, 77-69. Freshman pivot Mitchell Patton scored a career-high 13 points, including IUPUI's first nine of the game, and senior
Nick DeSchepper contributed a career-high eight off the bench in the win.
IUPUI led by as many as 23 early in the second half, but Centenary shot 56 percent from the floor in the second half and hit a flurry of jumpers late to close the final margin.
Oral Roberts (3-4, 1-0 Summit) is coming off an impressive 71-58 win at Western Illinois on Thursday night behind junior Dominique Morrison's career-high 35 points. Morrison leads ORU at 19.1 points per game and true freshman Steven Roundtree comes in netting 12 points and seven boards per contest. Sophomore sharpshooter Warren Niles comes in averaging 14.4 points per game, primarily off the bench.
ORU leads the all-time series 17-10, however IUPUI took two-out-of-three a year ago including an overtime thriller at Conseco Fieldhouse and a meeting in The Summit League Tournament semifinals.
