CEDAR CITY, Utah. - Fresh off three straight home wins, the IUPUI basketball team will hit the road for a two-game Summit League swing, beginning at Southern Utah on Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. EST. Free audio begins at approximately 8:50 as Scott McCauley calls the action inside the Centrum Arena.
IUPUI (13-7, 6-1 Summit) swept its three league games during a four-game homestand, claiming wins over Western Illinois, Oral Roberts and Centenary. Against Centenary on Saturday, sophomore
Alex Young tied his career-highs with 29 points, nine rebounds and four assists in leading IUPUI to a 74-58 victory. The Jags started both halves hot, opening up a 23-5 lead in the first half and then breaking a four-point game open with a 17-2 burst to start the second stanza. Junior

Jon Avery scored 11 points in just 18 minutes off the bench.
IUPUI will have revenge on its mind when it takes on Southern Utah (5-13, 1-6 Summit) on Thursday after the Thunderbirds eliminated the Jags from the postseason last season. After sweeping the season series, IUPUI dropped a 53-48 contest to SUU in Sioux Falls, S.D. in The Summit quarterfinals. Davis Baker, who comes in to Thursday's game as The Summit's top scorer, scored 25 points in that game including nine straight in a decisive second half run.
Baker comes in netting 18.2 points per game while Young is second at 18.0 ppg. IUPUI senior
Robert Glenn is third at 17.8 points per game.
IUPUI is 17-9 all-time against SUU and has won five of its past six trips to Cedar City.
