TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The IUPUI basketball team will look to build on its strong start to the season when it heads west to take on Indiana State inside the Hulman Center on Wednesday for a noon tip. Scott McCauley (pbp) will call the action with pregame coverage beginning at approximately 11:45 a.m..

Indiana State (7-3) has won four of its past five outings including a 55-54 thriller at Toledo on Saturday night. Iowa-transfer Jake Kelly sank a game-winning jumper with 5.6 seconds left to give the Sycamores their third road win of the year. Dwayne Lathan leads ISU in scoring (13.9 ppg) and rebounding (5.7 rpg) and senior guard Harry Marshall comes in averaging 11.3 points per game. Marshall missed the Toledo game due to a one-game suspension, but reinstated earlier this week.

IUPUI (9-3) comes in having won four out of five also, including a 73-64 win over Duquesne on Saturday night. Senior Robert Glenn scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds on his way to Summit League Co-Player of the Week honors. The 6-foot-7 forward has led the Jags in scoring in each of the past five games, averaging 24.8 points per game during that stretch. He currently ranks second in The Summit and 36th in the country at 19.6 points per game.

Sophomore Alex Young has scored in double-digits in eight straight outings including a 22-point effort against the Dukes on Saturday. The 6-foot-6 lefty tied his career-high with five made treys in the victory and also collected four steals. Junior swingman Leroy Nobles rounds out IUPUI's big three as the trio has combined to score nearly 68 percent of the Jags' point this season. Nobles has scored in double-digits nine times this year and is shooting 44 percent from three-point range.

Junior point guard John Ashworth had the offense firing on all cylinders on Saturday, handing out nine of his career-high 12 assists in the first half as the Jaguars built an 18-point lead over the Dukes. DU pulled within six at the 6:45 mark, but scored just two field goals down the stretch as IUPUI improved to 2-0 at home against Atlantic 10 opponents.

IUPUI comes into Wednesday's game at 2-1 all-time against the Sycamores with both wins coming in Indianapolis. The Jags knocked off ISU on Dec. 23 last season inside Conseco Fieldhouse, 62-41. Young and Jon Avery paced IUPUI with 15 points each as the Jaguars controlled the glass at both ends, outrebounding ISU 42-24. Avery grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds in the double-double effort.
