FORT WAYNE, Ind. - As IUPUI embarks on game two of a stretch of four games away from home, the basketball program will be featured on ESPN's College Gameday on Saturday morning as Head Coach Ron Hunter's 'Barefoot for a Cause' endeavor will be featured. The segment is scheduled to air at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Note: The piece was originally scheduled to air on Saturday, Jan. 24 but will now be rescheduled as ESPN will be featuring the late Kay Yow, longtime NC State women's coach.

IUPUI (9-10, 2-6 Summit League) will take on IPFW (8-11, 3-5 Summit) at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow with XL 950's pregame coverage beginning at 3:30 from the Gates Sports Center on the Fort Wayne campus. The Jaguars have dropped five straight dating back to Jan. 8 marking the program's longest losing streak since 2000-01.

On Thursday, the Jaguars were unable to get over the hump in the second half and host Oakland pulled away late in a 75-57 win. Reigning Summit League Player of the Week Erik Kangas torched the Jaguars for 33 points on 8-of-11 from three, while freshman Drew Maynard scored 13 of his 15 in the first half.

The Summit League's top rookie scorer, IUPUI freshman Alex Young, tossed in a team-high 14 and senior Gary Patterson added 13. IUPUI closed within six on a John Ashworth three with just under 10 minutes left, but Oakland rattled off eight quick points to end any comeback threat .

IPFW used a 21-4 second half run to knock off Western Illinois on Thursday and is led by senior forward David Carson. Carson averages better than 15 points and nearly six rebounds a game for Head Coach Dane Fife's squad.

IUPUI owns a 19-9 advantage in the series and has won the past six meetings between the two schools. Last year, IUPUI needed overtime to win in Fort Wayne as George Hill had 30 points, 11 rebounds and four assists and Patterson added 27.
