ROCHESTER, Mich. - Thursday night's game between IUPUI and Oakland, scheduled to tip at 7:00 p.m., can be seen locally on Fox Sports Indiana as Matt Shepard (pbp) and Earl Cureton (color) call the action. The game will also be available on DirecTV (673) and Dish Network (445).
It can also be heard live on XL 950 as Greg Rakestraw enters his ninth season calling the action. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 p.m..
IUPUI (9-9, 2-5 Summit) comes in amidst a four-game losing skid including a 58-56 heartbreaker to Centenary in front of a sellout crowd in The Jungle on Saturday. Centenary's Maxx Nakwaasah tipped in a Chase Adams miss as time expired to send the Gents to their first-ever win in Indianapolis.
The Jaguars got double-doubles from junior
Billy Pettiford and
Robert Glenn, including a career-high 14 boards from Pettiford. Sophomore
Leroy Nobles scored a team-high 13 points, marking the first time in his collegiate career he's paced the Jaguars.
Glenn tied the score at 56 all at the free throw line with 17 seconds left, but Centenary scored the game-winner when Adams' wild runner went well over the rim, finding Nakwaasah unattended on the weak side.
Oakland (11-9, 4-3) snapped a two-game slide on Saturday by outlasting IPFW, 93-88 in Fort Wayne. Senior guard Erik Kangas pumped in 39 points on his way to Summit League Player of the Week honors. The 6-foot-3 sharpshooter leads OU in scoring at 17.8 points per game while junior guard Johnathon Jones comes in averaging 14.3 points and 6.1 assists a night.
Keith Benson is OU's top inside threat, averaging 12.3 points to go along with his team-best 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots per game.
