SAN ANTONIO - Former IUPUI standout George Hill will be among the San Antonio Spurs three rookies introduced to the media and fans of the club on Thursday. Hill, the Spurs' first round pick (26th overall), former Oregon star Malik Hairston and former Maryland phenom James Gist will all take part in a video conference available at www.spurs.com at noon. 

Fans can also pose questions for the three newest Spurs via the team's official website.

Hill became just the second player in Summit League (formerly Mid-Continent Conference) history to be picked in the first round of the NBA Draft and is IUPUI's first-ever NBA Draft selection. The 2008 Summit League Player of the Year is only the fifth player from an in-state university to be drafted since 2002, joining this year's class of Eric Gordon and D.J. White and the 2002 duo of Jared Jeffries and Ryan Humphrey. 

The Spurs went 56-26 this past season before being knocked out in the Western Conference Finals by the Lakers, 4-1. Hill is projected to be Tony Parker's primary backup while providing Head Coach Gregg Popovich's squad with athleticism off the bench next season.
