TULSA, Okla. - The No. 2 seeded IUPUI Jaguars will take on No. 7 UMKC on Saturday night in the quarterfinals round of The Summit League Tournament at John Q. Hammons Arena at the UMAC. Tip time is slated for 9:30 p.m. EST with pregame coverage beginning at 9:00 on Freedom 95.9 FM.

IUPUI (24-6) has already matched the 1987-88 team for the program's all-time record in wins, while setting a new mark with 15 conference victories this season. In addition, the Jags were a perfect 15-0 at home this year and have a 16-game home winning streak, dating back to last season.

Led by Summit League Player of the Year George Hill, IUPUI swept both games with UMKC (11-20) this season. The Jags had to rally late to claim a 77-72 victory in Kansas City on Jan. 3 before routing the 'Roos in Indianapolis, 90-70 on Feb. 2.

Hill had a career-high 34 points in the first meeting and posted 23 points and 10 rebounds in the second. Senior Austin Montgomery, an honorable mention all-conference selection, had 22 points in the game in Indianapolis and sophomore Billy Pettiford had eight points, seven rebounds and a career-high 11 assists in that contest.

Junior Gary Patterson, a Second Team All-Summit pick, added 17 on five threes.

Hill finished the regular season with a Summit League-best 21.2 scoring average, good enough for 19th in the country. In addition, the 6-foot-2 guard ranked among the league's top 10 in rebounding, assists, steals, three-point percentage, assist-to-turnover ratio and minutes played.

IUPUI has never lost an opening round conference tournament game and is 11-6 (.647) all-time in the postseason.
