INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI basketball team will cap the 2007-08 regular season against Western Illinois on Saturday night in The Jungle. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. EST as seniors

Austin Montgomery and
Bill Van Senus will be honored immediately before the game at 6:50.
IUPUI (23-6, 14-3 Summit) has already clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Summit League Tournament and can match the school's all-time record with 24 wins on Saturday. This season, the Jaguars have recorded a school record 14 conference victories this season as well. IUPUI is a perfect 14-0 in The Jungle this year and come in riding a 15-game home winning streak dating back to last season.
The Jaguars used a 55-point second half on Wednesday to escape Chicago State with a 89-75 victory. Junior
Gary Patterson scored 27 points for the second straight game and Montgomery added a season-high 25. Junior
George Hill chipped in 19 points and five assists for the victors.
WIU (12-16, 7-10) has dropped five of its past six games and 18 straight against IUPUI dating back to the 1999-00 season. The Leathernecks are led by senior guard David Jackson who comes in averaging 14.3 points and 4.7 rebounds a night.
Meanwhile, IUPUI continues to put up astounding shooting numbers from the floor, behind the arc and at the charity stripe. The Jaguars currently rank in the top three in the country in all three categories and lead the nation in three-point percentage at 42.6 percent. Patterson is IUPUI's prime sniper, hitting 85 threes at better than a 46 percent clip this year.
