CHICAGO - The IUPUI basketball team looks to continue to build momentum heading into the postseason when it heads north to take on Chicago State inside the newly opened Jones Convocation Center on Wednesday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST with Freedom 95.9's pregame coverage beginning at 7:30.

IUPUI (22-6) has already attained a Division I record 22 wins and is looking for a season sweep over CSU (11-16) on Wednesday. The Jaguars knocked off first year head coach Benjy Taylor's Cougars 78-70 on Nov. 24 in Indianapolis. Junior George Hill had 29 points and 10 rebounds in that victory to match CSU's David Holston's 29-point effort.

Sophomore Jon Avery chipped in 21 off the bench in that victory.

IUPUI comes into play ranked No. 79 in the most recent RPI (according to RealtimeRPI.com) and ranked No. 14 in this week's CollegeInsider.com's Mid-Major Top 25. Hill has been a major player in IUPUI's success this season, living up to his Summit League Preseason Player of the Year billing.

On Saturday, Hill scored seven of his game-high 30 points during the five-minute overtime period to help IUPUI escape Fort Wayne with an 88-81 victory over IPFW. Hill also assisted Gary Patterson on a key three from the right corner, giving the Jags an 84-81 lead with 52 seconds left. The 6-foot-2 Hill also gathered 11 rebounds to complete his eighth double-double of the year.

Patterson finished the game 5-of-9 from beyond the arc as part of his 27 points. The 5-foot-10 Patterson is amidst one of the best three-point shooting seasons in IUPUI history, having already drained 84 treys in 2007-08.

Following Wednesday's game, IUPUI will return home to take on Western Illinois on Saturday night in The Jungle. Fans are urged to arrive early as seniors Drew Conner, Austin Montgomery and Bill Van Senus will be honored 10 minutes before tipoff. Student tickets will be distributed at Indiana Members Credit Union on the second floor of the student center on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. IUPUI memorabilia will also be distributed at IMCU on Thursday.
