INDIANAPOLIS – Seeking to capitalize on the momentum from Saturday evening’s come-from-behind win Oral Roberts, the IUPUI women’s basketball team will host Centenary College Monday night at The Jungle. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
IUPUI (12-14, 8-6 Summit) can assure itself of no worse than a .500 record in Summit League play with a win over Centenary (3-20, 0-13 Summit). A win would also give the Jaguars their third weekend sweep in conference play this season.
Individually,
Jernisha Cann will have an opportunity to become the 18
th IUPUI women’s basketball player to score 1,000 points in her career, as the junior sits eight points shy of the mark. The Kansas City, Mo.-native is currently 19
th in school history in scoring, 6
th in steals and 2
nd in rebounding.
The Ladies are led by Anne Farrell and Ashley Jackson. Farrell averages 10.7 points per game, while Jackson is scoring 9.8 points in 23 games.
