The Jaguars are 0-2 all-time at Conseco Fieldhouse and last hosted a game at the Indiana Pacers home site during the 2004-05 season.
IUPUI (2-2) ran its home winning string to 17 straight on Saturday night by routing IU East, 92-55 in front of a near capacity crowd in The Jungle. Junior
Robert Glenn led the Jaguars with 16 points and
Jon Avery scored 14 points in 14 minutes off the bench.
All 12 Jaguars cracked the scoring column and no player logged more than 25 minutes of court time. IUPUI extended its lead to 41 points midway through the second half and coasted from there. The Jaguars shot a season-high 62 percent from the field and harassed IUE into 24 turnovers, 17 of which came off steals.
Sophomore guard
John Ashworth delivered a career-high eight assists and
Leroy Nobles added a season-high 12 points.
EIU dropped an overtime heartbreaker on Saturday at IPFW to fall to 1-2 on the season. Junior guard Romain Martin leads the Panthers in scoring at over 20 points per game and Head Coach Mike Miller's roster includes a quartet of former Indiana prep standouts.
EIU leads the all-time series between the two schools 2-0, although the teams haven't played since 1984.
