Chen Ni sweeps diving rounds

INDIANAPOLIS -- The IUPUI swimming and diving teams went up against some of the midwest's top competition on Friday and Saturday, going 0-6 on both sides in two-day, three-way duals.  Chen Ni won on both diving platforms, as did Jaron Tuttle on the men's side.

Ni won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions on Friday night, scoring a 247.75  on the 1-meter board, the fifth-best in school history; on the 3-meter board, Ni had a 280.40, outpacing her nearest competition by 30 points.

Ni's score on the 3-meter board was the second-best in school history.

Tuttle also dominated on the 1-meter board, scoring a 276.05; on the 3-meter, Tuttle had a 302.55 to win.  The Mishawaka, Ind.-native continued his strong performance on Saturday, winning the competition on the 1-meter board.

On the 3-meter board, Tuttle was second on Saturday.

The IUPUI divers will take their expertise to Bloomington, Ind., on Nov. 21-23, for the Hoosierland Invitational.
