GAME NOTES

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The IUPUI basketball team heads into the bulk of its Summit League schedule on Thursday night when it takes on UMKC at Municipal Auditorium. Tipoff is slated for 8:05 p.m.. Seventeen of IUPUI's remaining 18 contests are Summit League games. 

IUPUI (9-3, 1-0) had its eight-game winning streak snapped on Saturday night in a 66-57 loss at Saint Louis. Meanwhile, UMKC (5-9, 0-2) is 5-2 at home this season and 0-7 on the road. The Kangaroos, under first-year head coach Matt Brown, are coming off a 64-57 loss at Central Arkansas this past weekend. 

Junior Gary Patterson matched his season-high with 18 points in the loss Saturday night while senior Austin Montgomery added 13 on 6-of-12 shooting. Summit League Preseason Player of the Year George Hill was limited to 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting.

IUPUI is 10-9 against UMKC since going Division I in 1998. The two teams split last year's series, with each team holding serve on its home court.
