Marisa Arce

Marisa Arce (formerly Lambropoulos) was named head coach of the IUPUI women's tennis team in June, 2015, after serving as the assistant coach at Princeton the past two seasons. Prior to her time with the Tigers, Arce was the volunteer assistant coach at Oklahoma.

Arce is entering her fourth season at the helm of the Jaguars program, guiding IUPUI in its second season in the Horizon League. In the first season in the Horizon, Arce coached Samantha Mayer to an Academic All-Horizon League selection.

In her first season at IUPUI, Arce led the Jags to a 7-16 overall record while going 2-4 in Summit League play.  The year saw the team catch fire during the month of February, with the Jags rolling to three-straight victories.  Arce coached Brigitte Swartwood to an All-Summit League selection, as well as Samantha Mayer to an Academic All-Summit League selection.

In her two seasons with Princeton, Arce helped the Tigers to back-to-back Ivy League Championships, and in 2014, Princeton advanced to the Round of 32 at the NCAA Tournament before eventually finishing the season ranked 36th nationally – matching a program record for highest ranking.

Arce spent the 2012-13 campaign working in Norman, Okla., for the Sooners where she assisted with individual and team practice plans and video analysis. She also helped Oklahoma with its hosting duties for the 2013 Big 12 Tennis Championships.

Collegiately, Arce starred at the University of Illinois where she finished her career with the second-most doubles wins (87) and sixth-most singles wins (85) in Illini history. A Second-Team All-Big Ten selection during her final season in Champaign, Ill., Arce was also an Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award winner for the Midwest Region that same season.
