Hoffman clocked the fastest 3,000m time in the Horizon League this season, running a time of 8:23.03 at the Meyo Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 8). His time was 10 seconds quicker than second-best in the league this season as he finished ninth overall in the event against a field that was dominated by Big Ten, BIG EAST and ACC runners. In doing so, his time was five seconds better than his personal best time and moved him to No. 4 on the program’s all-time list in the event.
