Orvis stepped up as the Jaguars' No. 2 finisher at the John McNichols Invitational on Saturday, clocking a 5K time of 18:35.4 to place 79th overall against a field that included six nationally ranked teams and four teams ranked among the nation's top 10. She just missed a new personal best effort, running at the acclaimed LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, which will host the 2019 NCAA Championships later this season. Thanks to Orvis' efforts, the Jaguars placed 11th of 21 teams competing.
