Fleming finished fifth overall at the Crusader Classic on Friday (Sept. 6), running a personal best 5K time of 17:49.5, good enough for the second-best time in school history. In doing so, she trailed only three Notre Dame runners and an Indiana State runner in her fifth-place finish and her time exceeded her previous personal best by more than eight seconds. In addition, she became just the second runner in program history to notch multiple 5K times of under 18 minutes in an IUPUI uniform.
