Murphy finished third among the 30-runner field at the season opening Butler Twilight (Aug. 30), clocking a time of 17:57.5. In doing so, she became the first runner in IUPUI history to have multiple races of sub 18-minute times while her 5K time was the sixth quickest effort in program history.
